About

As a Swedish native, Rebecka is a multi-passionate industrial designer. Her background in art and handcraft has played a large role in shaping her way of thinking and how she approaches design. A naturally curious, outgoing and creative person, Rebecka is always eager to learn new things, ways, and methods and apply them to her work.

Rebecka has a great focus and knowledge within circular design and sustainable design thinking. She brings valuable experience in user research and interaction, including field trips, in-person interviews, and workshops. Her skill set involves things such as sketching, developing CAD models, concept renderings, designs presentations, and prototyping.

To Rebecka, good design is rooted in a relevant and interesting problem area, and she takes on a holistic and sustainable approach to find a solution. She has a particular interest in cross-functional design, where different branches meet to create new products and experiences.

Her core values related to design are for it to be inclusive, transparent, and sustainable, with a strong belief that designers should focus on life-centered design rather than only human-centered design. These values have already been recognized by others, as in university, Rebecka together with her classmate won an iF Design Talent Award, an award motivated by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
